Ok, you can deal several different kinds of damage to an enemy, and each may have normal affect, an increased affect if the enemy is vulnerable, a decreased effect if the enemy is resistant, or even no affect if the enemy is immune. This can have a huge affect on fighting both mobs and players. Minotaur, for instance, are vulnerable to fire, so it'd be a good idea to use a dagger with a "flaming bite" or "flame" noun on it when you try to assassinate the emperor of Ganth.
At level 25, you'll see your armor class on your 'score' page. This will be the P:# B:# S:# M:#
The P score affects how much damage you'll take from piercing, the B from bashing, the S from
slashing, and the M from magic (or everything on the right side, plus spells).
